Drawing the Portrait in Pastel | Lesa Cook

Working with pastels, create vibrant portraits by layering and mixing color for convincing flesh tones. Historical examples, demonstrations, and one on-one instruction will be provided. The first class includes an overview, presentation, and demonstration. Working from a live, clothed model, emphasis will be placed on anatomy, proportion, and capturing expression. A great class for students who are ready to explore color in their drawings, and for those transitioning from drawing to painting in oil. Tuition includes model fee and some shared supplies.
