Mission Statement Downtown Frederick Partnership is charged with enhancing, promoting and preserving the vitality of Downtown Frederick by implementing the national Main Street program for the benefit of Frederick businesses, residents and visitors.

About the Partnership

In 2001, the Partnership was designated the managing organization for Frederick’s Main Street Program.  The Main Street Program is a preservation-based, downtown revitalization approach sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.  The goal of the Main Street Program is to strengthen the vitality of Maryland’s traditional main streets and neighborhoods.  Downtown Frederick received the prestigious Great American Main Street Award in May of 2005 from the National Main Street Center for the community’s exceptional accomplishments in revitalization.  Download organizational brochure here.

Board of Directors & Committees

Leading Downtown Frederick Partnership is a broad-based, volunteer Board of Directors, representative of business owners, property owners, residents and elected officials.  The Partnership enhances, promotes and preserves the vitality of Downtown Frederick through the work of four committees: Design, Economic Restructuring, Organization and Promotion.  Each committee represents one of the “four points” of downtown revitalization called for in the Main Street Program, an initiative of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  Volunteers and investors provide critical support to the activities of the Board and Committees.

Partners

Downtown Frederick Partnership partners with the City of Frederick, Frederick County, the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, the Frederick County Tourism Council, the Arts and others to take action in Downtown Frederick.
