Start your First Saturday early with the 16th Annual Frederick Festival of the Arts - Carroll Creek Linear Park - Come celebrate the arts on Carroll Creek! Saturday, June 6th, 10am - 6pm and Sunday, June 7th, 11am - 5pm featuring quality fine arts and fine crafts from across the nation, entertainment, children’s activities, boat rides and much more! Don’t forget to stop by Downtown Frederick Partnership’s booth!

Spend your afternoon at The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center - 40 S Carroll - Our exhibits are "The Regional Juried Exhibit" in The F&M and Kline Galleries; “Art and Sport" by Graham Cullen and Frank DuVal in The Gardiner Gallery; “In Search of the Tao” multimedia art by Carol Galligan in The Side Gallery; ”Time Zero” by Palma Allen in The New Gallery; “Africa Dreamed” photographs by Irene Abdou in The Hall Gallery. Reception from 3 - 5pm. Open until 5pm.

Continue your First Saturday fun with the June First Saturday - I ART Downtown Frederick. Performance artists will entertain crowds on the sidewalks of downtown. I ART Downtown Frederick Painters will create scenes of downtown during from 3 - 7pm. And I ART Exhibit/Sale of the paintings will be held in front of 30 N. Market at 7:30pm. Sale begins at 8pm. The evening also includes music and extended shopping hours at Downtown Frederick’s locally owned and operated stores from 5 - 9pm.


 

Festival of the Arts Music - Carroll Creek & Market - Enjoy music brought to you by La Paz & The Greene Turtle as part of the Frederick Festival of the Arts. 4:30 - 6pm, Mike Huckleberry (Folk Rock); 6:30 - 8pm, Yardslippers (Americana Bluegrass); and 8:30 - 10pm, Rant and Roar (Sea-Shanties).

I ART Painter - 0 - 99 Block S Market - Local artist, Connie Schlee, creates wonderfully colorful works of art! See her paint her interpretation of this downtown block. 3 - 7pm.

starDowntown Piano Works - 74 S Market - Featuring our current piano students for an evening recital performance at 7:30pm. The public is welcome but RSVP is required. Call us to get your seat!

Cultural Arts Center - 15 N Market - FCAA Member Show. This annual art exhibit features work by members of the Frederick County Art Association. An opening reception will take place from 5 - 9pm.

Downtown Alive @ Five is back with NINE happy hour events though out the summer! Alive @ Five Continues on June 25th with the high energy folk rock music of ilyAIMY - this band is not to be missed! This downtown happy hour series occurs the second and fourth Thursday of each month from May - September along the banks of Carroll Creek.
