Downtown Frederick’s Top 5, April 28-30

It’s going to be a busy, busy weekend downtown, as we get to work to make our town shine, and have fabulous events as the cherry on our sundae.

As a special additional event for this week’s Top 5, this Saturday is the Partnership’s Bring a Broom Saturday, an annual affair where hundreds, and we mean hundreds of folks volunteer to weed, mulch, sweep and make Downtown Frederick sparkle. There’s still time to volunteer, either as a group or solo artist, but don’t delay. We can always use extra hands, and of course, we’ll feed you lunch after you’ve mulched your little heart out.

After all of that mulching, you’ll be ready for fun, and boy oh boy are we going to deliver! Get those thrifting skills ready to go at Olde Mother, prepare for a Battle of the Bands at the Amphitheater, and start thinking…PUPPIES! A Puppy Hour adoption event at The Shed at Thacher & Rye and a benefit concert for our furry friends will have the canines well cared for this Sunday.

Plus, if you’re interested in letterpress printing at all, a very special and notable letterpress artist from Switzerland, Dafi Kühne, will be joining the folks at Frederick Book Arts Center for a talk and demo Sunday evening. This is a super special event, so don’t miss out!

We can’t wait to see you downtown!
