Frederick County’s Small Business Advisor provides information on 50 topics and many subtopics related to planning for, starting, managing, and growing a business. The online tool has an easy-to-understand interface where users can explore business topics of interest. The tool offers a roadmap of tasks and processes an entrepreneur can take to be successful. The interactive research tools are data-driven, hyper-local, and industry specific.

PR Frederick offers existing businesses free access to distribute your press releases to an online newswire service. This service is available at no charge due to support from the Frederick County Office of Economic Development and the City of Frederick’s Department of Economic Development.

The Frederick County Public Libraries offers several resources for business owners including Reference Solutions – A free resource that offers detailed records about 12 million U.S. businesses to help guide your market research.
