Gillian Collins brings a new light to antique mechanical components and vintage blueprints in her new works. Luc Fiedler’s sculptures and foundry-based art are meditative and entertaining. Sandra Fritter’s plein air, studio and figurative works seek to capture the essence of her subject matter. Tina Lund exhibits a new series of paintings of Frederick County. Bonny Lundy presents works in watercolor based on an emotional response to the subject matter. Lori Niland Rounds continues to explore her profoundly meditative encaustic wax medium works. Linda Slattery Sherman focuses on an expression of motion and a unique application of paint to the canvas and offers her one of a kind prints for the exhibition. Paula Rubin-Wexler pursues her abstracted landscapes through the skilled use of color experienced while painting on location. Karen Winston-Levin looks at the play of light and shadow as each defines figures as well as structures.
“The Associates” show, along with a group of work by full members of TAG, runs from February 1st through February 24th. An opening reception for the artists will be held from 5pm-9pm on February 2nd, as one of Frederick’s First Saturday events. A closing reception and Artist Talk will be held February 24th from 3pm-5pm.
