Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET), the National AIDS Memorial, The Frederick Center, DISTRICT Arts, and Parlights, Inc. partnered together to bring 8 panels (1 12’x12′ block) of the AIDS Memorial Quilt to Frederick as part of MET’s dramaturgy exhibit for Angels in America Part 1: Millennium Approachs Remount & Part 2: Perestroika by award-winning Tony Kushner to provide historical context to their shows and in remembrance of the 700,000 U.S. lives lost to AIDS since the first cases were reported over 40 years ago.
