Come enjoy this 4 part series taught by the wonderful Patricia Sanville of Budding Creek Farm.
The first class will cover basic knit stitch as you learn about materials needed, hands on instruction and your questions answered. Then as you move through the stitches, you will start to experience moments of the meditative nature of knitting. As those moments grow, Patty will start to build on what you have practiced and move into purl stitch.
Each week you will build upon the last and end with a finished scarf that represents all the stitches you’ve learned.
Knitting needles and yarn are provided but feel free, after the first class, to bring your own needles and yarn to work with. If you already have experience with knit and purl stitch, feel free to sign up for classes 2, 3 and/or 4. Beginner’s must begin at Class 1 to get the most out of the series.
$45 each session
$170 for the total series (save $10)
TEACHER :: PATRICIA SANVILLE
I’ve been involved in the fiber world since the age of 4, when I found my grandmothers stack of granny squares and learned how to crochet. My other grandmother shared her love of farming with me. I have combined these two passions since moving to Maryland 10 years ago. I now raise a flock of wool sheep on our farm. I teach multiple fiber arts classes to both children and adults including fiber preparation, spinning, dyeing, felting, knitting and crocheting. I also give lectures on a variety of topics, hold monthly spin and knit nights at our farm, and advise others in the sheep and fiber community.
