Celebrate & Educate: Juneteenth Workshop and Brunch For Parents and Children

Juneteenth has become one of the highest celebrated holidays by African Americans in the last 50 years. However, the question remains: “Do our children have an understanding of its significance?”

On June 18th the family ministry at Frederick Presbyterian Church, partnering with Frederick United, will host a brunch discussion and workshop for parents and children discussing Juneteenth in the light of the gospel.

The goal of this workshop will be to provide families and children with fun, educational activities that will help them better understand the holiday and what role it plays in their life and Christian faith.

This relaxed and friendly gathering will be a means to meet parents learn ways to educate their children on Juneteenth while also discussing the Christian significance of the holiday and how it can point our children to a greater relationship with Christ.

We hope to see you there!
