Ecstasy, from Ancient Greek ékstasis, essentially means “standing beside oneself.” What better way to cultivate self-love and stand beside oneself on Valentine’s Day than Ecstatic Dance?
Practiced throughout human history, the dance serves as a form of meditation that connects participants to their embodied wisdom and playfulness. Participants dance solo and freely express themselves, guided by the five “waves” of musical rhythms: Flowing Staccato, Chaotic, Lyrical, and Still. The gathering welcomes all people in a supportive, non- judgmental and liberating atmosphere.
