Where is Nevada’s favorite Downtown Spot?
Nevada is a 2 year old black labrador retriever born and raised by Hero Dogs, Inc who provides service dogs for military and first responders. She is a trained Facility Dog and works in schools with her School Resource Officer Handler, SGT Rebecca Carrado. SGT Rebecca Carrado is a police officer with Frederick Police Department who has served for 17 years and is responsible for the Outreach Team who supports special events and community outreach programs for the City of Frederick.
You can meet SGT Carrado and Nevada from 11am-3pm this First Saturday! They’ll be visiting businesses during the day and handing out coloring sheets so you can draw Nevada in your favorite place in Downtown Frederick.
Drawings can be dropped off or mailed to the Frederick Visitor Center (151 S East St, Frederick, MD 21701) from August 7-21. Selected winners will receive a Downtown Frederick Gift Card. The contest is limited to students K-12. If you are a student at heart, please have fun putting Nevada in your favorite place in Frederick!
