India Ink Study :: Popcorn

Ever want to learn the applicable properties of India Ink? India Ink has been used in drawing applications and as a main medium in drawing for centuries and can be used in a variety of manners. In this two hour workshop, Virginia Mae Warwick, will be assisting you to explore the different value properties of this medium and how to explore it in a subject matter that most would find at a movie theater: Popcorn. Using popcorn in a still life, Virginia will guide you through the investigation of this subject and transform these familiar kernels into art.

Students/Participants will understand the properties of India Ink by creating a value scale and learn how to or enhance their drawing skills with India Ink. Also, they will learn how to transform and at the same time replicate the intrinsic properties of popcorn into a piece of artwork.
