JAMIE-LYNN SIGLER, star of HBO’s The Sopranos, leads a powerful cast in a thrilling, one-night only performance!

Directed by critically-acclaimed actress, Ashlie Atkinson (BLACKkKLANSMAN), MANHATTANonPATRICK opens a new corridor for the performing arts between Frederick (on Patrick Street, at the Weinberg Center for the Arts) and the theatre capital of the world, with the script-in-hand, staged reading of “Second Derivative” — the volcanic new play by Jeffery Keilholtz.

Starring Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Jeffery Keilholtz, Bru Ajueitsyi and Amanda Shafer, this is one night at the theatre you don’t want to miss.

The evening will feature a red carpet entrance, performance and post-show Q&A. Admission to the after party with cast members and the director is also available to a limited number of ticket buyers at an additional cost.

TICKETS ON SALE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BEGINNING AUGUST 15 online at or via box office hotline 301-600-2828.

“Second Derivative”: The bullets fly on the streets of inner-city Baltimore: some directly at crusading, would-be State’s Attorney General, Alexander Tyson, who is now on the verge of winning a major election — as a result of surviving an assassination attempt. But not everything is as it seems, as a seasoned campaign attorney rushes to protect a battered woman and her young political operative, before clashing with an imposing police detective over what went down that fateful day.

Attention: play contains strong language – not suitable for children.

A full-length play with no act break. Approximate running time 80 minutes.

  • Private reading/workshop, hosted by Alexander Dinelaris (Oscar-winning writer, “Birdman”)
  • Off-Broadway workshop, The Actors Company Theatre, NYC (under previous title: “Bad Fiction”)
  • Regional workshop, Maryland Ensemble Theatre (under previous title: “Bad Fiction”)

Staged readings are popular performance opportunities in New York City for theatre audiences to see work in development — to include Off-Broadway and Broadway plays. But this is no bare bones experience and this staged reading takes it to the limit. With a twist-filled plot and fast-paced dialogue (supported by costumes, makeup and a set) MANHATTANonPATRICK combines Broadway talent (Sigler and director Ashlie Atkinson) with high-potential regional performers to deliver a thrilling evening at the theatre!
