For the month of May, a special time in which we celebrate Mother’s Day, the mother-daughter duo of Arden Jepsen McElroy and Jill Hossler have teamed up to be our featured artists.
Jill began painting approximately 40 years ago and has worked in watercolor and oils but her chosen mediums are acrylic or gouache. Arden began painting with acrylics 10 years ago, after retiring from a 39-year teaching career. Both women are avid gardeners and are drawn to scenes of nature, thus the title of the show “Mother Earth.” The work they’ve chosen to include in this special show, features landscapes, seascapes, and florals.
