The North Market Pop Shop is a specialty retail shop located in the historic Downtown Frederick. We’re known for our wide selection of craft sodas, local treats, and nostalgic favorites. Our mission is to provide an exceptional customer experience while supporting local makers and offering unique products that make people smile.

We are seeking an experienced and dependable **Shop Manager** to oversee daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient, and customer-focused service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, motivated, and passionate about creating an engaging retail experience.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Supervise, train, and schedule staff members

Manage cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and daily reporting

Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain product displays

Develop and implement merchandising and promotional strategies

Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally

Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media and event participation

Qualifications:

2+ years of retail or food service management experience (market or boutique experience a plus)

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Proven ability to manage inventory and staff efficiently

Proficiency with POS systems (square a plus) and basic computer applications

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Enthusiasm for the local community and delivering outstanding customer service
