DISTRICT Arts: 15 N Market St
While living on a boat for 12 years, we participated in several hundred outdoor art festivals around the country, including the Frederick Festival of the Arts. After getting weary of setting up and tearing down a tent 25 weekends a year, we decided to sell the boat, move ashore and open a contemporary art gallery. We ended up in Frederick because we fell in love with the vibrant downtown atmosphere and the robust arts community. After completing a very successful first year, we know we made the right decision.
DISTRICT Arts currently represents 35 local, regional and nationally recognized working artists whose creations evoke the modern world through the dramatic use of color and form, reflect world influences and diversity, and inspire, challenge, entertain and educate.
