Join us for October’s First Saturday where an old favorite will be returning to FBAC!
You read that right, manhole printing on shirts is back! We found a great new cover just a block away from our new building and we can’t wait to share the experience with you all again. But that’s not all we have going on that day, check out the scheduled line-up below and drop in to experience all the family fun.

10am – 2pm: Manhole Cover Printing on Shirts
Just a short walk from FBAC; $10 to print on a shirt that you bring, $20 to purchase a shirt and print (youth sizes available this year!). Once you have printed your shirt you can walk it up to FBAC to have it heat set and ready to wear! We encourage you to bring a clean, 100% cotton or poly/cotton blend in a color that will show black ink.

10am – 4pm: Pumpkin Jack Printing and Coloring
Pumpkin Jack is back on the press! This is a great activity for kids to print on one of our Vandercook Letterpresses and then decorate their Pumpkin Jack marionette doll with markers and crayons.

10am – 4pm: Steal Plate Printing Demo on our Spider Press, by Mike Bean, retired printer from the Bureau of Engraving.

10am – 4pm: Featured artist Emrys Malley will have a table set up featuring their art and demoing their digital art process.

4 – 5pm: Poetry reading by Hood College Faculty.
