In 2020, the Partnership began a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion outreach effort guided by Dr. Denise Rollins with The Whole Heart Center. This effort started with 9 focus groups and included a community survey conducted in July 2021, which received 295 responses.
As the Partnership works to make Downtown Frederick a welcoming place for everyone, we are very encouraged by the number of people who participated in the focus groups and survey, offering honest feedback about their experiences in Downtown Frederick. The input received to date provides a road map for the Partnership, both as we take on new projects and as we continue to learn more. The results of this initial outreach effort are summarized in the document linked here.
