The Frederick Center is postponing its Frederick Pride 2021 celebration, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2021, to Saturday, June 25, 2022. In consultation with the Frederick County Health Department, The Frederick Center has assessed that the risk to public health is too high to risk holding a large-scale event during a resurgence of the COVID pandemic and, specifically, the more transmissible deadly delta-variant.
The Frederick Center will continue operating its peer support programs, including Youth Group Jr., Youth Group, Young Adult Group, Transgender/Gender Non-Conforming Group, TransFamilies, TransTeens, TransPartners, Healing Pride, and LGBTQ+ Recovery.
Additionally, The Frederick Center is developing some smaller-scale events over the next few months, both outdoors and indoors, allowing folx to gather in a safe environment.
The Frederick Center’s Mission: The Frederick Center exists to support and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people and our families so we thrive, accepted and affirmed, in the broader Frederick community.
