First Saturday means all day activities, late-night shopping and dining, live music on the street, and a free trolley to guide your way! During November First Saturday, celebrate the start of the Holiday Season in Downtown Frederick.

Each First Saturday, musicians and entertainment can be found all over downtown! This month, our featured performers are:

Each month, find artists creating live works inspired by Downtown Frederick. Artwork will be on display & available for sale during our First Saturday Art Show in August 2019!

This First Saturday, Kristen Morrison from Gallery East will be painting near the 33 E Patrick Street Trolley Stop from 4-7pm.

Experience Downtown Frederick Partnership’s year-long live art demonstrations and don’t miss the final exhibition, “A Year of First Saturdays” next summer.



During November First Saturday, enjoy a free carriage ride through Downtown Frederick! The wagons will be led by a team of Belgium Draft Mules and/or a team of Percheron horses and hold 12 people. There will be two carriages in operation, with rides leaving approximately every 15 minutes from 4-9pm. All rides will pick-up in front of Footlights Dance & Theater Boutique (306 E Church St). Rides are available on a first-come basis.

  • Pick-up Location: Everedy Square & Shab Row, in front of Footlights Dance & Theater Boutique (306 E Church St)
  • Carriages leave every 15 minutes on a first-come basis from 4-9pm



Wegmans is handing out hot cider and donuts at 30 N Market St, starting at 11am. Stop by for a tasty treat while supplies last!



Stay cozy and warm with free hot cocoa & s’mores roasting stations! All stations are open from 5-9pm and available while supplies last.
