Carroll Creek Refresh
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Carroll Creek Refresh Community Workshop, held in support of enhancing one of Downtown Frederick most beloved spaces.
The workshop was held on Tuesday, May 19, from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Municipal Office Annex, 104 W. Patrick Street. Attendees got a first look at results from the Carroll Creek Refresh survey, explored draft concepts for park improvements, and shared ideas on plantings, hardscape, shade, and more.
We’re now reviewing all the public feedback gathered from the survey and workshop. Thank you to everyone who came out to share their voice and help reimagine Carroll Creek Park. Stay tuned for updates on next steps!

About the Project
Downtown Frederick Partnership, in collaboration with the Ausherman Family Foundation and the City of Frederick, launched Carroll Creek Refresh — a focused initiative to enhance, repair, and thoughtfully improve one of Downtown Frederick’s most valued public spaces.
This initiative is assessing current park conditions, identifying priority maintenance and repair needs, and developing concept design alternatives for landscape enhancements and a future shade structure at the amphitheater. Community input is essential to ensure these improvements reflect how people use, experience, and value Carroll Creek, and will help the design team make informed decisions that reflect the full range of community perspectives.
This project is led by Downtown Frederick Partnership, in collaboration with the Ausherman Family Foundation, the City of Frederick and Design Collective.
