“Hidden”: A Thomas Sterner Solo Exhibit @ NoMa Gallery

FreePublic art sculptor Thomas Sterner will be exhibiting at NOMA Gallery in a show titled ‘Hidden’, artworks investigating the unnoticed and concealed. Although known for his very large stainless steel sculptures in Frederick and elsewhere, this exhibit will use various mediums and processes including wood carving, photography, and metal fabrication.
A solo show of 18 artworks in the main gallery at NOMA, located on the corner of 5th and Market Streets, open to the public Fridays and Saturdays noon-8pm and Sundays noon-4pm. Sterner explores hidden strength, emotions, thoughts, and intentions in these works. All works are for sale, and reasonably priced.
The ‘Hidden’ exhibit runs from October 4th through October 27th , with an opening reception on October 5th from 5pm to 8pm, and a closing reception on October 26th from 5pm to 8pm. Please come see it.
About Artist Thomas Sterner: Thomas Sterner lives and works in Silver Run Maryland. He has created 17 public sculptures since 2019 when he began making large works. ‘Growth’ was installed at Frederick Community College in June 2024. Other works in the Frederick area are gateway sculptures ‘Lily Wave’ and ‘Lily Swirl’ at Carroll Creek on Market Street, and 3 kinetic sculptures in the creek near East Street.
