Imprimatur comes from Latin imprimere, meaning to “imprint” or “impress. We would like to “impress” you with NOMA’s January exhibition featuring four printmakers: Judith Kornett, Andrea McCluskey, Julia Shrecengost and Lisa Tayerle. Their approaches to printmaking include many techniques, styles and subject matter. Using some of the oldest techniques, intaglio and relief to more recent approaches, these four artist’s work in both figurative and abstract styles with a richness of color, line and texture. This is indeed an opportunity to learn about these talented printmakers and their various processes and approaches.
