The Federated Charities Corporation of Frederick was established in 1911 to help support a growing number of charitable organizations who were providing services in Frederick County. More than 100 years later, our nonprofit center is a capacity builder for local nonprofits where we offer bricks and mortar commercial space, 1:1 and small group coaching, a learning lab for professional development of staff, board members and volunteers as well as advocacy work on behalf of the nonprofit sector.

Our fully renovated building consists of two connected 19th century structures and houses as many as 15 charitable organizations at any given time. Our tenant-partners provide a diversity of support to our community in the fields of mental health care, legal assistance, and workforce development services in addition to sharing a love of Frederick’s historic downtown. By offering below-market rents, our nonprofit tenants are able to better leverage their own financial resources, grow, and frequently move on to a larger, dedicated location of their own.

Our building is not rented exclusively to nonprofits and is also a perfect opportunity for traditional businesses to make their mark in the heart of downtown Frederick. Our meeting and conference spaces are open to the public by reservation and our green space is available for small events.
