Apprentice Fine Art Printer

Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing in conjunction with Vault of Visions Art Gallery job description for a part-time assistant which should evolve into a full-time role.  Job requirements are:

Dedicated Fine Art Printing weekly hours: Monday – Tuesday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM work with the Fine Art Printer.

• Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of Giclée printers and printer maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and color correcting to assure proper digitizing of Artwork, photography and restorations.
  • Comfortable with hand-held tools, both powered and manual
  • Capable of performing exacting measurements and cutting with Exacto style knives.
  • Willing to learn new ways of performing mounting techniques.
• Responsibilities:
  • Keep the shop clean at all times
  • Be available for additional hours when given adequate notice, (1 week)
  • Ability to move, transport, and position items weighing up to 50 LBS.
  • Follow the fine art printer’s direction.

Dedicated Gallery weekly hours:  Saturday – Sunday 12:00 – 5:00 PM, assist the Gallery Manager in the Gallery exhibit space.

• Assist in sales as the Gallery Manager sees fit.
• Assure that the Gallery space is clean and tidy at all times.
• Prepare all artwork for after sale process – proper wrapping and protection of artwork for leaving the Gallery.
• Meet and greet all potential clients as they come in and only assist when asked to by the client or gallery manager.
• Assure coverage of the gallery when the Gallery Manager is busy or away.
• Assist the Gallery Manager in placement of artwork, following the managers direction.
