Architectural Draftsperson

Square Corner is a design and build collaborative focused on high-end residential renovations and additions in the Frederick, MD area.

We are currently seeking a talented, detail oriented architectural draftsperson to join our dynamic team.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years’ experience working full-time for an Architectural Firm, Design – Build Firm, or Interior Design Firm.
• Proficient at Revit, AutoCAD, Rendering software.
• Experience producing a full complement of CD’s to include as-built drawings, proposed layouts, elevations, material schedules, and more for residential projects.
• Experience site measuring residential projects.
• Familiarity with local Maryland building codes and construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and manage detailed architectural drawings for residential projects using Revit software. Revise and update drawings based on designer and client feedback as well as any project changes.
• Prepare project documentation, specifications, finish and material schedules and integrate with project drawing sets.
• Assist with the sizing and specification of exterior windows and doors. Create and update window and door schedules.
• Collaborate with the design and construction teams and other professionals to develop design concepts and specifications.
• Site measure all projects to produce as-built layouts and elevations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
• Construction experience or proficiency in construction science.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit
• Experience in rendering software is preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential building codes and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
