Artopia is Downtown Frederick’s newest celebration of creativity — and you’re invited!
Join us Saturday, June 7 for a full day of art-filled fun, with interactive activities happening all throughout Downtown Frederick.

One of the day’s most exciting events? Our first-ever Youth Live Art Competition! Three incredibly talented young artists — Bernie Hasenauer, Neha Krishna Gagannadamu, and Yingxi Qian — will compete in a fast-paced artistic showdown.

Here’s how it works:

• The audience submits theme ideas — one is picked at random to kick off the competition

• Artists have 60–90 minutes to create their original artwork on the spot

• A winner is chosen by a mix of audience votes and two local art gallery representatives

An emcee will keep the crowd in the loop with artist introductions and live commentary throughout. Come cheer on these rising stars and be part of Artopia history in the making!
