Director of Music

All Saints is seeking a part-time Director of Music Ministry at our vital and growing downtown church in historic Frederick, MD. We seek a leader who will work with us to cast a vision of music ministry that honors musical tradition while introducing us to new musical experiences. Responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the traditional adult choir at 10 am worship (funds available for paid positions as needed). Weekly and occasional pickup rehearsals.
• Lead and develop the handbell choir. Weekly rehearsals.
• Lead and develop the Youth choir.
• Plan liturgies and repertoire collaborating with the clergy, staff and lay leadership to reflect the various worshiping communities gathered and grow us towards a greater diversity of music.
• Accompany and lead music at the 10 am Choral Eucharist, evensongs, Holy Week, Advent and Christmas, plus other seasonal liturgies including Candlemas.
• Work with others to develop and provide music programing for a variety of children and youth events, including, VBS Camp Week, Camp Sunday, and the Annual Christmas Pageant.
• Manage All Saints instruments including the Allen and Roosevelt organs, pianos and a three-octave set of handbells and chimes.
• Participate in ecumenical worship services with downtown churches.
