Downtown Frederick’s Top 5, April 21-23

Downtown Frederick’s Top 5, April 21-23

Downtown Frederick loves a good craft swap, and doesn’t shy away from wonderful concerts and shows either. And did we mention the PUPPIES? You heard us right!

It’s yet another glorious weekend, and there’s fun lurking around every corner, so much so in fact, that it was tricky choosing just five events to highlight. Stop in the FREE craft swap on Saturday and enjoy concerts and shows all around town, including the amazing Afrique en Cirque by Cirque Kalabante. Your entire family will be in awe! You can also get zen and stretch with furry little yogis, and when we say they take downward dog very seriously, we really mean it.

For the complete list of activities happening this weekend, be sure to visit our Events page. We can’t wait to see you downtown!

Afrique en Cirque” is a highly colorful creation featuring a handful of amazing acrobats, and musicians from Cirque Kalabanté, performing their authentic choreography to the frantic rhythms of djembes and other native instruments of Guinea. To the melodious sound of the Kora, artistic director and company founder, Yamoussa Bangoura takes us into an elsewhere that radiates the diversity of traditional African arts combined with the virtuosity of the North American modern circus performance.
