First Saturday weekend is always a fun time in Downtown Frederick, especially once spring unofficially hits. With blossoms already beginning to poke out on the branches, downtown will be hopping and ready for you!
From fairy wands to disco balls, our merchants have fun activities planned this weekend for kids and adults alike. You can also participate in a community input session for new artwork being planned for Seventh St Park, then spend your Saturday evening taking in a program of spirituals and an art exhibit.
No matter your taste, you’ll find something to do downtown this and every weekend!
Seventh St Fountain Park Artwork Community Input Session

Downtown Frederick Partnership, working in collaboration with the AARCH Society, is in the process of commissioning a new signature artwork for Seventh Street Fountain Park as part of the park restoration project. The selected artist, Rodney Carroll, is interested in hearing stories about your connection to the park and Frederick as inspiration for the design.
The sculpture will become a beacon, welcoming all — connecting us across cultures and time – past, present and future.
Please join us to contribute your stories.
