Peter Gibbons, thanks to a hypnotic suggestion, decides not to go to work at the same time his company is laying people off and ends up getting promoted as suggested by two consultants. When layoffs affect his two best friends, the trio conspire to plant a virus in the company’s banking system that will embezzle a small amount of money on every transaction into Peter’s bank account.
