October 3 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

In this engaging science lesson, we will explore the food web and predator-prey relationships by dissecting real owl pellets. Students will learn about owls’ diets and digestive systems, then use tweezers and picks to carefully break apart sterilized pellets and identify the bones of small animals like mice and voles. They’ll sort, classify, and chart their findings, gaining hands-on experience with observation, classification, and scientific recording. This fun and educational activity links directly to life science standards and helps little ones understand ecosystems in an interactive way.
