2️⃣ The Silent Film era returns to the big screen at the Weinberg this Saturday with two film restorations from the 1920’s.

3️⃣ Catch the January Show at Eastside Artists’ Gallery this weekend before it’s gone. This month’s show features artist Doug Moulden with landscapes in acrylic and mixed media.

4️⃣ Support local creativity and shop incredible artist-made goods and art at the Art Collective Frederick’s 5-year Anniversary celebration all weekend.

As a part of the Maryland Distillers Guild Spirits of Collaboration program, Tenth Ward Distilling Company presents their Maryland Brandy. They’re donating 30% of all sales to the state trade association, the Maryland Distillers Guild.

Silent Film Series at The Weinberg Center for the Arts

As part of its Silent Film Series, The Weinberg will be playing two silent films on Saturday, January 20.

The first showing at 3pm will feature the 1925 western comedy “Go West.” A young man who has had little luck at keeping a job, finds his way while leading a herd of cattle to the West Coast.

The second showing at 8pm, will feature the 1928 film based on Helen Hunt Jackson’s 1884 novel “Ramona,” telling the tragic love story of a mixed-race Native American girl named Ramona and her lover Alessandro.

Doug Moulden “Landscapes, Again” Show at Eastside Artists’ Gallery

Using multiple media, Doug Moulden’s artwork is an amalgamation of rich color and texture. He feels that texture is always pleasing to the eye, a messy line is far more interesting than a clean one, and contrast is more effective at conveying emotion than color.
