IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE (added March 18, 2020)
With Governor Hogan’s executive order prohibiting gatherings of 50+ people (changed to 10+ people on March 19) and the recent announcement from CDC recommending the cancellation of these events over the next 8 weeks, Downtown Frederick Partnership has decided to cancel this year’s Bring a Broom Saturday, which was scheduled for Saturday, April 25.
The Partnership considered postponing the event, but with so many individuals and groups involved in the day, as well as the uncertainty surrounding the progression of COVID-19, we feel that it is safer for everyone involved to simply cancel.
Thank you for your support of Bring a Broom Saturday and all that it does for our Downtown Frederick community! We encourage you to continue to support our small businesses during this difficult time. If you need any information about food delivery and takeout, remote shopping options, or how to buy gift cards (spend money now to support local businesses, treat yourself to a prepaid activity later in the year!) – we are constantly updating our website with this information at downtownfrederick.org/covid-19.
We absolutely plan to host Bring a Broom Saturday in 2021, so go ahead and SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, April 24, 2021.
