DISTRICT Arts presents “Moments,” an exhibition of watercolor and fluid acrylic paintings by April M. Rimpo
Rimpo’s favorite quote on art is by Ivan Lissner: “The secret of great art – to rob the moment of its impermanence.” Her exhibition titled “Moments” reflects that quotation.
Part of telling stories with April’s art is conveying the emotional response to the subject. She sees beauty everywhere she travels, be it to a large city, a small U.S town, or somewhere abroad.
April feels a piece is complete when the mood she wants is achieved and the story shines through. Real success comes, however, when others tell her the story they see in the painting.
The exhibition runs from September 1 through September 26, including First Saturday. It is free and open to the public.
