“Random Observations and Assorted Thoughts”

“Random Observations and Assorted Thoughts”

First Saturday: February 5th, 1-7pm
Exhibit runs: February 5th – 27th
Gallery Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 1-5pm

Alice Mullen has been painting in oils for about twenty years. In that time her paintings have covered a wide variety of subject matter, but the common thread throughout her work has been centered on an attempt to pull something meaningful from her random observations. She considers herself an accidental realist, because her focus isn’t so much to accurately represent how a thing or place appeared at a moment in time, but to convey the feeling in that moment of observation. Her work is available for commission if you have an image you’d like her to explore further.

Joining her is Wendell Poindexter, Manager of the Visual Art Program and Director of the FCC Mary Condon Art Gallery. He works primarily in oils and has always had a love of portraiture.
