Do I need a mask?
If you are feeling sick, please do not attend. Don’t worry, we have many weeks of fun ahead this summer! Masks are not required, so please be considerate of others.
However, if you plan to explore Downtown Frederick before or after Alive @ Five, remember to bring a mask with you. Businesses and other workplaces are free to set their own policies with respect to masking. Our businesses thank you for keeping our community safe and helping to keep their doors open!
Alive @ Five is held in the Carroll Creek Amphitheater, which is located in Carroll Creek Park between Market & Carroll Streets — across the creek from the C Burr Artz Public Library. The closest parking options are the Carroll Creek Public Parking Garage (44 E Patrick St) or the E All Saints Street Public Parking Garage (125 E All Saints St). Find more parking info at parkfrederick.org.
About the Band
The music of Sean K. Preston draws heavily on the influences of the classic heartbroken sounds of Country & Western music from the 40’s through the 70’s, the honesty of the Blues by the likes of Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker, the bombast of 50’s Rock’n’Roll, the lyrical sophistication of musical poets like Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Nick Cave, the raw energy of Punk, and the spirituality of Mountain Gospel. His own songs range from delicate laments and lullabies to fiery sermons and confessions.
Before the Show
Each morning before Alive @ Five, start your day with free Yoga on the Creek led by Sol Yoga. 7-8AM every Thursday morning in the Carroll Creek Amphitheater.
