Each artist has a unique way of approaching a new piece of art. Inspiration can come from a thought, an object, a landscape, a figure, or the first mark made on a surface.
The autumn group show at Gallery 322, titled “Sketchbooks”, provides a window into the process of artmaking. Gallery 322 showcases the process of creating art with an exhibit that includes sketches, photos, and written explanations as well as the artists’ work. The artists of Gallery 322 hope that in sharing our process we will begin a dialogue between the viewer and the artist. Sharing our methods and materials with visitors is one way an artist-owned gallery can inspire a greater understanding and enjoyment of art.
First Saturday 12-8pm. Exhibit running through September 25, Gallery is Open Fridays 4-7PM, on Saturdays and Sundays from Noon-5PM
