Join us for a special back-to-school First Saturday at FBAC! Make bookmarks with a favorite quote, special saying, or message to a loved one, hand set by you.
After your individual bookmark has been made your set lines will be saved to be used in the next issue of our Ephemeral Newspaper (with your permission, of course!) coming out this Fall. Our Ephemeral Newspaper is an artist paper that is hand set and printed on one of our Vandercook Letterpresses from the 1940s.
We will also have demos from local artists, tours, and our shop open for any back-to-school gifts you may want to give a booklover in your life.
This is a free event and we look forward to seeing you there!

Join us for September’s First Sunday Art Walk at our Grasshopper Print Shop!
Introducing our new monthly UpCycle Sunday Events: Your thrift store treasures and “back of the closet” clothing are transformed into works of art. Bring a garment/fabric to print, printing costs $10 per article of fabric. We will have 6 screens set up in the print shop with images related to the labor movement of the early 1900s in honor of the Labor Day weekend.
All ink is heat-set and machine washable; natural fibers will work best and handle the heat setting at 330 degrees.
Located in the garage studio behind Joy Convenience Store at the corner of 4th and Market. Enter through the driveway on 4th St. Look for signage on the sidewalks to follow to the exact location!
