The Concert Series includes the following fantastic artists

April Verch Band (Oct. 8, 2021): For over two decades the fiddler, singer-songwriter and step dancer April Verch has been recording and captivating listeners worldwide. Verch’s signature sound blends together regional Canadian, American old-time, bluegrass, country and Americana, resulting in a well-rounded tour-de-force of traditional sounds.

An Evening with Dennis Quaid (Oct. 30, 2021): Best known as an actor, Dennis Quaid is also a passionate musician and songwriter. You may have even seen him play Jerry Lee Lewis in the feature film Great Balls of Fire from 1989. Quaid said the shows are as much fun for those in attendance as they are for the band. “(The audiences) have a blast, which is all we want,” he said. “I make a complete and utter fool of myself. I think that’s the only way to have fun (onstage), instead of trying to pretend to be cool and all the rest of that stuff.”

The California Guitar Trio (Nov. 20, 2021): The universe of guitar knows no boundaries for this trio. Since 1991, the group has enthralled listeners with a singular sound that fearlessly crisscrosses genres. The trio’s questing spirit drives it to explore the intersections between rock, jazz, classical, and world music. It even throws in the occasional surf or spaghetti Western tune for good measure.

Julian Bliss Septet (Feb. 18, 2022): Julian Bliss is one of the world’s finest clarinettists excelling as a concerto soloist, chamber musician, jazz artist, masterclass leader and tireless musical explorer.

Canadian Brass (Mar. 10, 2022):With an international reputation as one of the mostpopular brass ensembles today, Canadian Brass has truly earned the distinction of “the world’s most famous brass group”. Each of their concerts will show the full range from trademark Baroque and Dixieland tunes to new compositions and arrangements created especially for them – from formal classical presentation to music served up with lively dialogue and theatrical effects.
